What are push notifications?

A push notification is a message that is delivered directly to the home screen of your mobile phone. The mobile app must be installed on your device in order to receive these types of notifications. On iPhone®, you must enable app notifications on the system for that mobile phone while Android™ have push notifications enabled by default.
